Many friends know that PS foam lines are made of professional raw materials and foamed. They look like plastic products, but in fact they are not. There is a line made of the lowest grade plastic mixed with other wood powder in the market, called wood plastic line, which is not foamed. Its stability and some basic line properties are poor, but its appearance is similar to PS foam lines. Due to the similarity on the surface, many buyers do not know how to distinguish PS foam lines from wood plastic lines. Here is the real difference between the two by Yajing Xiaobian!

First of all, the wood plastic lines mainly include PE, PP, PVC and other plastic raw materials with appropriate proportions of wood powder (also bamboo powder, straw powder, bran powder) and calcium powder, as well as special additives. After mixing, granulation, extrusion molding, grinding or embossing and film coating, they are made into environmentally friendly and waterproof wood like materials. Most of PE and PP base materials and plastics use recycled materials, because the material has good fluidity, the filler added is high, and cannot be foamed, and the cost is low. The dimensional stability of cold thermal cycle is poor, and special flame retardant needs to be added to meet the fire protection requirements.

PS foam line basically does not add wood fiber filler. After forming, the surface wood grain effect is made by drawing and embossing. The fatal defect of PS substrate is that it is easy to degrade and embrittle under the action of ultraviolet rays (not suitable for outdoor use) and is not fireproof (not suitable for indoor use). Complex material modification is needed to solve these problems. Costs will also rise sharply. In addition, most of the foamed products need to use new materials. The PVC material has poor fluidity, the amount of filler added is limited, and the material cost is high.
